JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) — Rock County authorities say a motorcycle driver who lost control and was injured along with his passenger has been cited for fourth-offense drunken driving.
The sheriff’s department says the 32-year-old was driving in the Town of Janesville on Sunday afternoon when he lost control on a sharp curve.
After speaking to the passenger, deputies say speed and alcohol appeared to be contributed factors in the crash.
The driver and passenger were taken to a hospital for unspecified injuries. The driver was listed in stable condition Sunday night. The passenger was treated for minor cuts and scrapes.
Deputies say the driver has three previous drunken-driving convictions and was driving with a suspended license.
He’s expected to make an initial appearance in court after he’s released from the hospital.
