St. Cloud Police responded to the robbery, which occurred on the 1200 block of 15th Street North, shortly after 3 a.m.

The victim told police he had stepped out of his apartment for a cigarette when three or four men between the ages of 18 and 23 approached him. The victim said the men punched him several times in the head and, while he was on the ground, kicked him in the head.

One of the men wielded a black-handled knife with a three-to-four-inch blade. This man held the knife to the victim’s chest, but did not hurt him with it.

An ambulance transported the victim to the St. Cloud Emergency Room, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
