MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A St. Paul man is charged in the kidnapping of a couple from a grocery store parking lot.
Police say the man pictured in surveillance video is 42-year-old Jason Armstrong.
They say he may have been posing as a parking lot attendant at the Roseville Cub Food store on North Snelling Avenue last month.
That’s when police say he forced a couple who had been loading groceries into their car to drive to an ATM.
He later robbed them.
Armstrong is also a person of interest in two similar robberies last month at the Kowalski’s Market on Grand Avenue.
In both cases a man forced grocery shoppers at gunpoint to drive him to cash machines, where he then robbed them.
