ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – A caregiver at a St. Paul nursing home is accused of exposing himself, groping a female patient, kissing her and having her perform sexual actions on him, according to charges filed by the Minnesota Department of Health.
Officials with the health department investigated the case at the Highland Chateau Health Care Center in St. Paul.
The caregiver, whose name has not been released, is accused of exposing himself to a female resident, asking her to touch his penis, fondling her breasts, kissing her and on one occasion, placing her hands on his penis, according to the complaint.
When interviewed by authorities, the resident said the man approached her several times while providing care and also had her perform oral sex on him at least seven times. An employee with the facility said that the resident told her she thought a romantic relationship was developing between the caregiver and the victim. The victim became upset when she learned the man only wanted a physical relationship with her, the complaint states.
The man, while being interviewed by investigators, said he thought he was going to marry the female resident and take her to Africa. He also provided investigators with a false work history, including not providing a previous facility where he was also accused of sexually inappropriate behavior.
The Minnesota Department of Health is still investigating the case.
