MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A man is dead after a shooting in south Minneapolis Sunday afternoon, according to Minneapolis Police.
Just before 4 p.m., police responded to a shots fired report on the 3400 block of Snelling Avenue South. When police arrived, the adult male victim in his 30s was found deceased in the back of a black SUV.
Police spokesman John Elder says a suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.
Police don’t know whether the shooting was intentional or random, but are investigating.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim and the nature and cause of death.
