MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 30-year-old Amery, Wis. man was arrested Sunday morning for operating a vehicle under the influence with a child in the vehicle, according to police.
Maurice Lipscomb was pulled over by a Wisconsin State Trooper around 3:50 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 94, after authorities caught him traveling 89 miles per hour in a 65-mph zone.
This is Lipscomb’s first offense with a minor in the vehicle.
He was taken to Mayo Health in Menomonie, Wis. for a blood draw and subsequently released to a responsible adult.
There was another passenger in the vehicle beyond a 16-month-old child — a 60-year-old man from Milwaukee, who did not have a valid driver’s license.
