MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police are investigating after a body was found in the Mississippi River on Wednesday.
According to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, a call came in around 1:30 p.m. about a body in the river. The body was spotted just south of Robert Street Bridge, according to Randy Gustafson, of the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office.
The Ramsey County Water Patrol, St. Paul Police and St. Paul fire departments responded.
A body was pulled from the river and taken to the medical examiner.
The St. Paul Police Department said they don’t know if the body is that of a woman or a man and at this point, they don’t know much detail about the circumstances that led up to the discovery.
