BURNSVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) – A 35-year-old Burnsville was charged Friday in connection with possessing 12 pounds of methamphetamine, worth a street value of more than $400,000.
Albert Morris Johnson was charged in Dakota County with two counts of first-degree controlled substance crimes, one count of possession of a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm with an altered/removed serial number (all felonies).
A search warrant of Johnson’s home at 1:10 a.m. on May 1 found more than 12 pounds of meth, and three handguns – one of which was loaded, while another had a destroyed serial number.
Johnson was previously convicted of second-degree assault in Sherburne County in 2009, and therefore was unable to possess any firearms.
Also, $16,000 was seized during the search.
