MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 27-year-old man is in custody in connection with the Thursday night triple shooting that left two injured and killed a Shakopee High School student.
Shakopee police say at 10:44 p.m. Thursday, officers found three gunshot victims on the 600 block of Gorman Street. A 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old male were brought to Hennepin County Medical Center. A 19-year-old was found dead at the scene, and the Shakopee School District identified him as Marcos Antino Pantaleon.
On Friday afternoon, police announced that they arrested one suspect and identified him as Steven Andre Moore, of Minneapolis.
Two other suspects are still being sought.
Support staff are available at Shakopee High School to any staff members and students, according to Rob Thompson, the school district superintendent.
“Everyone in our school district and especially at Shakopee High School is deeply saddened by this news,” Thompson said. “Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathy go to Marcos’ family, friends and loved ones.”
The shooting is under investigation by Shakopee Police, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Savage Police.
