ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) — A 29-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after reports that at least one shot was fired in St. Cloud.
Police say they responded to an apartment building on the 400 block of 31st Avenue North at about 1 p.m. Thursday after someone reported hearing a gun being discharged in the area.
Authorities say no one was injured in the incident, but police said they found evidence that a shot had been fired.
They located a vehicle at an apartment building on the 600 block of 12th Avenue North that had a hole in the floor. A shotgun was recovered from a snow bank near the vehicle.
Police arrested Matthew Gorden Glen Geurts, of St. Cloud on suspicion of felony possession of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, and fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.
Elizabeth Petschen, 26, was also arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm, and fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.
