MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 44-year-old St. Paul man allegedly stole over $1,300 in golf balls from a West St. Paul retail store – concealing them in items he purchased from the store, according to charges filed by Dakota County. Now, a warrant is out for his arrest.
Roderick Michael Felber now faces one felony charge of theft in connection to three incidents in May, June and September of 2012.
According to the criminal complaint, on October 2012, a police officer opened an investigation into three thefts from a retail store and learned that Felber was suspected in the all of the thefts.
The officer reviewed documentation and video, and learned that on May 28, 2013, Felber entered the store and selected numerous packages of golf balls and concealed them in a lunch bag. He then purchased the lunch bag without making any attempt to pay for the balls, the complaint said.
Felber was seen doing similar thefts on June 14, 2012 and Sept. 22, 2012.
The total aggregated value of the stolen golf balls from all three incidents is $1,316.42.
Felber has not been located. In addition to his active warrant for theft, he has a long history of warrants.
