MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 24-year-old Hastings man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman while she was sleeping at a home in South St. Paul, according to charges filed Thursday in Dakota County Court.
John Knox Allen was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with the March 21 incident.
According to the charges, South St. Paul police were called to a residence at about 11:19 a.m. that day on a report of criminal sexual conduct in progress. When authorities arrived, they spoke with a woman at the residence who said she lived there with Allen. She told police she was on the couch sleeping, and when she woke up he was attempting to force oral sex on her.
The victim got up immediately and ran away. She told police Allen had a serious addiction to pornography, the complaint states.
Allen later admitted to police that he did try to force her into oral sex while she was sleeping. He also admitted that he has an addiction to pornography and it is a problem. The complaint also states police found text messages he sent to the victim saying he was sexually interested in her and her children.
If convicted, Allen faces up to 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.
