MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The search for Danielle Jelinek in Chisago County offered up no new clues Friday, authorities say, and because of incoming inclement weather, volunteers will not be asked to help in the search Saturday.
The county sheriff’s office issued a statement Friday night saying authorities will search “concentrated areas” Saturday. Sheriff Rick Duncan said citizens should consider their own safety as the weather worsens. Freezing rain and a few inches of snow are expected over the weekend.
Jelinek, 27, has been missing since last Saturday. A man who was once her boyfriend, Aaron Schnagl, is a suspect of interest in the case. Authorities arrested him on drug charges.
Volunteers have helped authorities search for Jelinek for days. On Friday, more than 150 volunteers helped. On Thursday, some 300 search for Jelinek through deep snow and tall grass.
