MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A Fridley man was arrested and released without charges after a 33-year-old Coon Rapids woman was found dead Sunday.
Police say officers responded to a Coon Rapids residence around 8:30 a.m. Sunday, after the man called 911 to report the woman was unresponsive.
Upon arrival, police determined the woman was dead.
Officers arrested the man on suspicion of third-degree murder after he told police he gave the woman some of his prescription pain medication.
The man was released Tuesday morning, without charges, pending additional investigation.
Police say the two were acquaintances.
Toxicology reports are pending. The woman’s cause of death will be released at a later time.
