MILWAUKEE (AP) – Members of the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin are dealing with another tragic loss, nearly two weeks after a gunman killed six people at their place of worship in Oak Creek.
Police in Milwaukee say it was an armed robbery attempt that led to a shooting at a north side food market Wednesday night.
Fifty-six-year-old Dalbir Singh was killed when a bullet was fired through a door at the Harmony Foods store owned by Singh’s nephew.
Singh was a member of the temple where the Aug. 5 rampage took place. Relatives say he went to the temple after learning of the shooting.
Amardeep Kaleka lost his father in the temple shooting. He tells WISN-TV that another Sikh family is now mourning a victim of violence. Police are still looking for suspects in the market shooting.
