MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities have identified the man who was shot and killed Tuesday night in north Minneapolis.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office said 25-year-old Parrish Gray died of a gunshot wound to the chest at 7:06 p.m. on the 1000 block of West Broadway Avenue.
Gray was brought to his place of death by a car. Minneapolis police said a car pulled up on West Broadway and three people got out, saying Gray, who was in the car, had been shot. Officers and emergency crews attempted to aid Gray, but he died at the scene, Sgt. William Palmer said.
That night, police responded to a call of shots fired shortly before 7 p.m. on the 1700 block of Irving Avenue North, which is not far from where Gray died. It is not known if Gray’s fatal wound came from the reported shooting on Irving Avenue.
The Minneapolis Police Homicide Unit is investigating. If you have information about the shooting, call police at 612-692-8477.
