MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Cass County jury found a 62-year-old Garrison woman guilty of intentional murder in the second-degree, and interference with a dead body, according to Cass County Attorney Christopher Strandlie.
The indictment alleged that Helene Teresa Mitchell-Abraham intentionally struck and killed her estranged husband, Wendall Wayne Abraham, 64, with her car in September of 2010 with premeditation.
The jury found Mitchell-Abraham guilty on Friday night, and sentencing is scheduled for July 9. The second-degree intentional murder charge carries a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison.
