MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police arrested a man for allegedly firing a gun inside a north Minneapolis lodge.
Sgt. Stephen McCarty said police responded to the Elks Lodge, located at 1614 Plymouth Ave. North, around 11:20 p.m. after hearing a report of a fight.
When officers arrived at the lodge, they learned that shots had been fired. One shot, authorities said, went off inside the lodge.
Witnesses gave police a description of the suspect. Police found him and arrested him shortly after.
During the shooting investigation, police also found a man with a stab wound. The man didn’t go to the hospital; thus police considered his injuries non-life threatening, McCarty said.
The suspect is currently in the Hennepin County jail awaiting for formal charges for his alleged involvement in the shooting and the stabbing.
