MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A woman was stabbed by a stranger in an attack at a downtown Minneapolis parking ramp Thursday evening, police said.
According to authorities, the attack happened around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon at a parking ramp at 8th Street South and Marquette Avenue.
Minneapolis Police Sgt. Steve McCarty said a 28-year-old woman who works downtown was stabbed in the stomach by a man dressed in a business suit.
McCarty said investigators have only a vague description, but said the suspect was described as a white male.
The woman is expected to survive her injuries. She was still hospitalized at Hennepin County Medical Center on Friday morning.
Police do not believe the attacker knew the woman and they don’t have a motive.
They’re hoping surveillance photos will help find the man.
