MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 22-year-old Minneapolis man is accused of stealing about $572 in wine from a house in Minneapolis, according to charges filed Thursday in Hennepin County Court.
Seth Michael Bovis was charged with third-degree burglary in connection with the incident.
According to a complaint, a woman called police at about 1:30 a.m. on March 27 and reported her detached garage on the 800 block of 18th Avenue Southeast had been burglarized and three cases of red wine were missing. The wine was valued at $527.27.
Bovis turned himself into University of Minnesota Police on Tuesday in connection with the incident. He admitted to entering the garage and stealing the wine in a drunken mistake, the complaint states.
He was taken into custody and faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
