CAMBRIDGE, Minn. (WCCO) – The Isanti County Deputy’s Office said they arrested a deputy from the sheriff’s department of neighboring Kanabec County for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Isanti County deputies responded to a call of a suspected drunken driver early Monday morning at about 2 a.m.
They located a vehicle matching the caller’s description and discovered the driver passed out at the wheel with the transmission in gear.
Officers arrested 34-year-old Joel Christian Bos, who is the chief deputy in Kanabec County and who has been with the department for 11 years.
Bos submitted to a breathalyzer test. The Isanti County Sheriff’s Department didn’t release information on his estimated blood alcohol level.
He was taken into custody and booked at the Isanti County Jail.
Authorities with Kanabec County said Bos was put on administrative leave.
