MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A call to action will be held in North Minneapolis on Saturday after gun violence took another life earlier this week.
William Harper, a taxi driver, was shot and killed on Wednesday night.
That followed a number of violent incidents in the neighborhood, including the death of Jason Youngmark earlier this month, a 14-year-old girl being shot in the leg while inside her home, and the death of 3-year-old Terrell Mayes Junior back in December.
The vigil will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. at 26th and Emerson.
Activists will be asking the community to stand up against the violence.
