MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said that an armed burglary suspect may be heading to the Twin Cities.

According to the incident report, a man in his mid-20s to early-30s was believed to have used a bat or ax to break the glass door of a grocery store and restaurant in River Falls, Wis. last Friday. Police believe that the suspect also stole an SUV from the same area.

Later that day, the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office said they obtained a still photograph of the stolen vehicle being filled at a gas station in Cadott, Wis. Using the photograph, they were able to determine their suspect was 38-year-old Eric “Buck” Hall.

Hall is a convicted felon who was released from prison on June 10.

The sheriff’s office said that they believe Hall switched vehicles multiple times during the weekend. The most recent incident was on Sunday, involving a tan Chevrolet Silverado that belongs to a volunteer firefighter and is equipped with a siren and flashing lights.

It was also reported that some of the vehicles believed to have been stolen by Hall contained firearms and ammunition.

Investigators believe that Hall may be en route to either Vilas County in Wisconsin or St. Paul Park, Minn., where he is believed to have a contact.

Authorities said Hall is likely taking whatever actions are necessary to avoid being apprehended. Anyone with information is urged to contact their local law enforcement or contact 715-726-7714.
