MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The convicted murderer recently questioned in the disappearance of Jacob Wetterling is dead.

Eighty-three-year-old Delbert Huber died Wednesday evening, according to Sarah Latuseck, of the Minnesota Department of Corrections. No foul play is suspected.

Latuseck said an autopsy will be performed.

Huber was convicted of murdering a teacher over an argument about $50 and was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.

His 48-year-old son, Tim, was also convicted in that murder.

Huber was in the geriatric unit at Faribault Correctional Facility. On Tuesday, in an interview from prison, he said he was angry that tips continue to come into authorities about him and about his son. He denied that either of them had anything to do with the Wetterling case.
