MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Amy Pagnac would have been 38 years old this week. Some 25 birthdays have passed since she went missing from an Osseo gas station.

But what was once a cold case is now active. Officers searched her childhood home in Maple Grove in May. Last week, they excavated the family farm in Isanti County.

For the first time, the family showed us one of the digging sites on Wednesday.

Amy’s mom, Susan Pagnac, said that although it may look like officers are investigating the family, they are the victims, she says, not the perpetrators.

“I can say unequivocally, Marshall and I never hurt Amy,” she said.

She says she gave officers free reign of their properties in hopes they would find new leads.

Officers took apart the family’s patio, but didn’t leave much of an explanation, she said.

“They are doing their job the way they seem to think they need to,” Pagnac said. “I have to be nice, they are doing something.”

And until they find something, she says she’ll reflect on her daughter’s life.

“Can you picture here as a 38 year old woman?” Pagnac said. “She’d be beautiful, brilliant.”

Investigators have said repeatedly said that the Pagnacs are not suspects.
