MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Sauk Rapids Police Department is asking for the public’s help after a 16-year-old boy was robbed and punched early Sunday afternoon.
Police say at 6 p.m. the teen victim was walking along the street near 6th Avenue North and 7th Street North in Sauk Rapids when two cars stopped beside him and two men got out.
That’s when one of the men demanded the victim’s wallet and punched him. The suspect then grabbed money from the victim’s wallet and fled, leaving the wallet. The other man had a hand gun.
The suspect who took the victim’s money is described as a black man in his mid-20s, corn rows in his hair with blond flecks, wearing black leather-like pants and a black jacket.
The suspects’ cars are described as a red 1990s Ford Taurus and a tan 1990s Pontiac Bonneville.
