MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A six-month investigation into the possession and sales of methamphetamine in Central Minnesota resulted in roughly 20 arrests and approximately 818 grams of meth purchased or seized, according to authorities.
The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force finished the investigation on Wednesday, which spanned the St. Cloud metro area into Stearns, Benton and Morrison County — plus the city of Little Falls.
The seized meth collected in the six-month investigation has an approximate street value of $50,000, according to police.
Sixteen people were arrested and are expected to be charged with either possession or sales of controlled substances. Of those arrested, the ages range from 22 years old to 66 years old, most from St. Cloud with two from Little Falls and one from Willmar.
Three arrests were also made on outstanding warrants as a result of the investigation.
