MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in northern Minnesota say they are investigating a possible homicide after a man was found Monday morning lying on a road.
Officers with the Babbitt Police Department responded to the medical emergency call just after 11 a.m. and found the man lying injured on a road, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said.
The man was then brought to Ely Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The man has yet to be identified, and the sheriff’s office didn’t immediately give details on where exactly the man was found and the nature of his wounds.
The incident remains under investigation.
Babbitt is about 100 miles northeast of Duluth.
