BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) – A substitute teacher at a Bloomington elementary school has been convicted of maliciously punishing students.
Sixty-year-old Laura Avery was found guilty of four counts of malicious punishment of a child.
The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office says Avery slapped one student in the face, kicked another student, and grabbed two others last December.
A sentencing date has not been set.
