MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Saturday marks the one-year anniversary of the horrific shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown Conn. Twenty children and 6 adults were killed.
Paul Hagan of Minneapolis lost his niece and told WCCO’s Dave Lee today the family is still recovering.
“It’s going to be a difficult day for our family tomorrow,” he said. “It’s been a slow process, kind of day-to-day. You have boundaries you set for yourself to get past, and a big one for us is going to be tomorrow.”

Members of the Newtown, Conn., community, including the parent of a teacher killed in a school massacre a year ago, gathered at the National Cathedral Thursday for a vigil to remember those who lost their lives because of gun violence.
