MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A blind preschool teacher whose iPad was stolen on a bus got a new one thanks to a WCCO-TV viewer.
WCCO reported on Jordan Richardson’s story last week. He uses his iPad to read out loud to him.
Last month, he says a boy stole it right out of his hands on a Metro Transit bus in Brooklyn Center.
After seeing the story, a viewer wanted to help and mailed Richardson a brand new iPad.
On Thursday, Richardson told us he was stunned.
“It confirmed my optimism in humanity,” he said. “Humanity is good.”
Police say they used security video to find the boy who took Richardson’s iPad. He told police he lost the tablet.
Richardson thanked the viewer, who wanted to remain anonymous.
