ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – A man remains hospitalized after being shot by police during a chase Friday evening.
Investigators say he fled in a car when an officer pulled him over at around 5 p.m near Front Avenue and Marion Street. His passenger bailed during the chase and got caught.
The driver eventually stopped and got out near Front Avenue and Woodbridge Street. That is when officers fired.
“What I can tell you is that we do have a person that was shot after a car chase took place and that they did believe he was armed,” St. Paul Police Sgt. Paul Paulos said.
The driver is expected to survive. No one else was hurt.
St. Paul Police are still investigating the incident.
