MEDINA, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities say two men are in custody after they apparently kidnapped another man in the west Twin Cities metro Wednesday night.
Police said the incident happened late Wednesday night in Loretto on the 100 block of Chippewa Road. Authorities said the man’s wife called them saying her husband was taken against his will.
Medina Police said the incident does not appear to be random. The two suspects put the victim in a vehicle, which was later spotted near Highway 55 and Pioneer Trail in Medina. Police were able to locate the suspects in a field with the help of a helicopter around 11:30 p.m.
Authorities said the victim was found inside the vehicle and was not hurt.
The suspects are two men, ages 29 and 30. Authorities said the victim, a 37-year-old man, is a business man and the kidnapping was related to that business.
Medina Police said there is no risk to the public and that the incident is under investigation.
