MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 22-year-old St. Paul man has been arrested in connection with a Sept. 1 burglary of a city hall in northern Minnesota, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said Jacob William Reynolds was arrested Tuesday in connection with the incident, which happened at the McKinley City Hall just after 9 a.m. on Sept. 1. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said a burglary had occurred and cash, computers, wireless equipment and books were stolen after several windows had been broken to get inside.
With the help of citizens, Reynolds was identified as the suspect. A search warrant for a home nearby resulted in finding most of those stolen items except for cash that was taken.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said Reynolds was taken into custody Tuesday night after authorities received a tip. Reynolds is also suspected in a burglary in Hennepin County on Sept. 6. He is currently in the Virginia Jail pending charges.
