MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — St. Paul police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection to the death of a St. Paul woman Sunday morning.
According to police, just after 10 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the 500 block of Minnehaha Avenue East on a report of an unresponsive woman. When they arrived, the woman, identified as 30-year-old Sherell Montrese Craighead, was dead.
On Monday, investigators arrested Sammy Devel Henderson in connection with Craighead’s death. Investigators are now trying to figure out what happened leading up to – and hours after – the victim’s death.
No other suspects are being sought and investigators are expected to present a case to the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office in the coming days for consideration of criminal charges against Henderson.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office has not made a final determination on cause and manner of Craighead’s death.
