MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police have identified the two dead bodies who were discovered inside a vehicle in south Minneapolis Sunday evening.
Officers responded to the 2600 block of 18th Avenue South at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday after a call of shots fired in an alley. When they arrived, they discovered two men dead inside a vehicle.
Two others, a female adult and a female believed to be in her late teens, were taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center with gunshot injuries which they were expected to survive.
On Wednesday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the two victims as 20-year-old Keondray Quantez Wilson and 18-year-old De’Von Lovise Burt. Both were from Minneapolis.
The medical examiner ruled both deaths homicide.
Inspector Michael Sullivan said police do not believe that the act was random and the public is not at risk. There have been no arrests and no motive has been determined.
