SOUTH ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Neighbors watched Friday morning as children playing soccer at Roosevelt Field in South St. Paul quickly fled after shots rang out.
“I heard it, but didn’t know it was a gun shot until my boyfriend told me,” one witness said.
South St. Paul Police responded to a call at 9 a.m. Friday at 500 Fifth Avenue South and found the uninjured victim, who said three people shot at him and then fled on foot.
Authorities were able to determine the identity of one suspect, and that individual is now in custody.
Police are actively searching for additional suspects.
