MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 79-year-old woman was found safe in northern Minnesota after having been gone from her home for about a day.
Janet Schanno, of Wirt, Minn., was reported missing around noon Tuesday after she left her home to pick blueberries, the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office said.
Officials with the BCA said Schanno was found safe but stranded in the woods early Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities were initially concerned because Schanno had been gone from home for a long period of time, without a cell phone or money.
