MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 40-year-old man, who was under the influence, has been charged after police say he fired 10 shots into two townhomes in Anoka.

Mikhail Dudyrev, of Coon Rapids, was charged with intentionally discharging a firearm, endangering safety to others, reckless discharge of a firearm, criminal damage to property and obstruction of the legal process.

According to the charges, the incident occurred around 11:32 p.m. on July 5 after a homeowner reported hearing gunshots and something hit the side of her townhome, located in the 11200 block of Robinson Drive NW.

Officers arrived on scene and found a bullet hole in the townhome as well as nine others outside the adjacent townhome.

While police were searching the area, an officer saw a suspicious man looking out from behind a row of garages, near an apartment complex.

Officers set up a perimeter, called for backup and summoned a K-9 unit. At approximately 12:35 a.m. July 6, someone called police to report that a man was in the lobby of his apartment building with a handgun.

Officers approached the man who did not cooperate and resisted arrest. The officers then deployed a tazer on the man and subdued him with a K-9.

The man was identified as Dudyrev. Police say he had a blood alcohol concentration of .216.

The estimated damage to the townhouses is more than $1,000.
