SIBLEY COUNTY, Minn. (WCCO) — The head girls basketball coach at Sibley East is accused of inappropriately recording video of his hairstylist.
Police say Doug Flieth’s hairstylist said she was giving the coach a haircut in her home on Saturday morning when he put his phone under her skirt.
The stylist then confronted Flieth and went to police.
In a statement to police, Flieth, 38, admitted Monday to inappropriately recording the woman.
“It’s actually very shocking to find that out,” said Jessica Garza, a senior guard who Flieth coaches.
She said Flieth — who also coaches football and golf — always tries to get the best out of his players.
“He’s fun and outgoing…seems very family orientated,” Garza said.
Flieth is married and has two children. Until Tuesday, Sibley East said it had never recieved a complaint about Flieth, who has coached at the school for 15 years.
