DULUTH, Minn. (WCCO) – A Duluth man is accused of sexually assaulting a boy on his Little League baseball team, including photographing the two of them together naked.

Peter Jay Olson, 47, is charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of possessing pictorial presentation of minors, and one count of use of a minor in a sexual performance.

The criminal complaint states that the investigation began at the Salvation Army, Olson’s employer. An investigator obtained a USB flash drive that Olson used at work and discovered child pornography on it. A search warrant of Olson’s home included another thumb drive, digital cameras and a memory card – all belonging to the Olson.

Using forensic tools to detect deleted images on the devices, investigators found pictures of the defendant and a young nude boy apparently engaged in sexual contact.

After initially denying possession of pornographic images, as a well as sexual contact with children, Olson was shown the photographs and admitted they were taken at his hunting shack. He admitted they were with a boy he coached in Little League baseball from age 9 to 12.

Though Olson denied sexually engaging with the victim during the time of the photo, he admitted to performing fellatio twice on the boy between 2010 and 2011 – once while at the Salvation Army and once at Olson’s home.

The victim admitted to being the child in the photograph, but had difficult admitting to being naked in the picture.
