MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Blue Earth County deputies found the skeletal remains of a body Thursday, authorities said, in a heavily wooded, rural area of South Bend Township.
The remains have not been identified, and the cause of death is unknown.
The sheriff’s office said the remains were found after authorities received a call Thursday evening.
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is now assisting the sheriff’s office with processing the scene. South Bend Township is about six miles west of Mankato.
The investigation is on-going.
