COTTAGE GROVE (WCCO) – Three teenagers and boy are in the hospital after a crash in Cottage Grove early Wednesday night, according to authorities.
According to the Cottage Grove Department of Public Safety, authorities were dispatched to the intersection of 70th Avenue and Joliet Avenue at 6:15 p.m. for a head-on crash involving two vehicles.
Out of the five people involved, two from each car are currently in the hospital. In one car, a 12-year-old Cottage Grove boy was brought to Woodwinds Hospital and a 13-year-old Cottage Grove boy was taken to Regions hospital.
In the other car, a 17-year-old Cottage Grove girl and a 17-year-old Hammond, Wis. boy were taken to Regions Hospital.
Authorities haven’t said who was driving in each vehicle.
The cause of the crash is being investigating and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
