Alcohol Detected On Driver In Crash That Injured 7

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Authorities say alcohol was detected after a one-car rollover crash in Fridley, Minn. that left seven people seriously injured.

Police said alcohol was detected on the driver, 35-year-old Jennifer Teetzel, of Minneapolis.

According to Lt. Eric Roeske of the Minnesota State Patrol, the Ford Explorer Teetzel was driving rolled over on southbound University Avenue, just north of Interstate 694 at 5:20 p.m. Saturday.

Of the seven passengers in the SUV, six were not wearing their seatbelts and were ejected.

The six passengers includes 17-year-old Marissa Paulson of Savage, 16-year-old Cache Brown of Brooklyn Park, 15-year-old Delicia Davis, 18-year-old Jonquell Allen, 47-year-old Shelly LaBarre of St. Paul and 4-year-old Omar Mohammed.

Both Teetzel and Mohammed are listed in critical condition at North Memorial.

All others were listed in serious condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
