MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — An 11-month-old baby girl died Tuesday after she stopped breathing while at an in-home daycare center, according to authorities.
The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call around 3:15 p.m., saying the child wasn’t breathing. An ambulance was dispatched, along with a Mayo helicopter.
The girl was then transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where she later died.
According to Fillmore County Sheriff Daryl Jensen, the death is being investigated by the sheriff’s office and the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The sheriff said, as of Wednesday, the cause of death has not been determined.
Jensen said there’s no indication of foul play.
