EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP/WCCO) – Eau Claire police say a driver who crashed into City Hall on Tuesday was under the influence of drugs.
The 42-year woman was not seriously injured when she crashed into a side entrance of the building Tuesday about 5:30 p.m. Police arrested her on probable charges of operating under the influence-third offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Part of the building entrance landed on top of the car.
WKBT in La Crosse, Wis. identified the woman as Denise Marten, of Eau Claire. She was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and abuse of hazardous substances.
No one was injured inside the building. Authorities said Marten suffered very minor injuries.
