MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 24-year-old Andover man has been charged with one count of third-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend, a 39-year-old Andover woman, the Anoka County Attorney’s Office announced Monday.
According to the criminal complaint, Seth Adam Olson gave his girlfriend methadone he purchased for her and she died as a result of methadone toxicity that day.
“Providing such powerful drugs to friends can lead to tragic consequences, as it did for this woman,” stated Anoka County Attorney Tony Palumbo. “People who engage in distributing dangerous drugs need to be held accountable.”
Olson’s bail is set at $250,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 8.
