MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say two people in northern Minnesota face charges for allegedly possessing 15 ounces of meth — an amount with a reported street value of $40,000-$50,000.

Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl said drug agents found the meth on Wednesday in a rural Brainerd home.

The meth — along with $4,500 in cash — was found on two people: 41-year-old Timothy Clark, of Brainerd; and 23-year-old Kayla Mercado, of Randall.

Both face first-degree possession and first-degree sale charges, Dahl said.

He added that the find shows an “overwhelming presence” of meth in the community.
