MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Rochester woman was sentenced Wednesday to more than 10 years in prison for her role in an armed robbery of a McDonald’s in June of 2011, the Justice Department said.

A district court judge sentenced Quiana Shaneea Evans to 130 months in prison on two counts: one of aiding and abetting in relation to a violent crime, and one of robbery.

After being indicted in May of 2012, Evans pleaded guilty in October of that year, admitting that she helped rob a McDonald’s in Byron, Minn., with Christian Aaron Alexander.

When the two entered the restaurant, Alexander was armed with a pistol, which he brandished in front of McDonald’s workers, the department said. Both Alexander and Evans then demanded money from the workers.

The two stole nearly $2,000 from the restaurant, robbed the workers of personal items and locked them in a cold storage room. Sometime during the robbery, Alexander’s pistol went off.

Alexander was sentenced to 14 years in prison on multiple counts last December.
