FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The FBI says a man believed to have robbed banks in North Dakota and Minnesota in the past week claimed to have a gun but never showed a weapon.
In robberies at Bank of the West in Fargo, N.D., on Saturday and at a U.S. Bank branch in Bloomington, Minn., on Monday, a man walked in and passed a note to a teller demanding money. The teller complied in both robberies, and the man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The FBI says video surveillance footage leaves no doubt that the same man robbed the two banks. The bureau is studying other unsolved robberies but hasn’t yet linked the robber to any other cases.
